Cleo A. Samuel, PhD, was selected as one of ‘40 Under 40’ Leaders in Minority Health. The '40 Under 40' Leaders in Minority Health Award was created by the National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) and Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Health Braintrust to recognize 40 next-generation leaders in minority health under the age of 40. According to Gary Puckrein, PhD, NMQF president and chief executive officer, “The 2019 winners are doing amazing things that both better and diversify the health care marketplace. They serve as positive role models for our next generation of leaders in minority health.”

Doctors dramatically reduce racial disparities in early-stage lung cancer treatment
